Leading in the 21st Century: Learning to Unleash Talent across Differences
Leading in the 21st Century: Learning to Unleash Talent Across Differences
Managing across differences requires a high degree of self understanding and awareness of how one feels about diversity and inclusion. In this module participants will be guided through a personal discovery model that provides a deeper appreciation for how personal biases, stereotypes and perception impact a leader's ability to lead a diverse workforce.
In a safe environment, participants are offered an opportunity to explore the complex issues surrounding diversity and look at their own belief systems. Each participant will be challenged to build a blueprint for continued development along the diversity continuum. This is essential in becoming a leader who can unleash the greatest potential of today's global workforce. The core intent of this session is to inspire and create meaningful action on the part of the participants to make a leadership paradigm shift. The intent is to guide the participants through the shift in an effort to adopt new behaviors that support the new perspectives. The shift requires each employee to recognize and embrace that the workforce has changed and challenge themselves to rid themselves of old beliefs that compromise their ability to connect, communicate and build a sense of community with those who are different than themselves.
Participants garner a keen understanding for the fact that there is no one size fits all model of managing. Rather, great leaders are intent at managing to the power of one: that is, recognizing and valuing the uniqueness of each individual, meeting them where they are in their development, paving the way for their greatest potential to be achieved while not expecting them to "fit into" some pre determined employee box. This is the essence of creating a culture where everyone can thrive!
